Sharon Wallen

I’m Sharon Wallen, a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT). Only 3% of America’s teachers are NBCT. I’m a creative innovator, problem-solver, risk-taker, life-long learner, trailblazer with a growth mindset to add value to myself and others with whom I interact.

Brain-friendly strategies are the HALLMARK of my classroom environment using respect, dignity, and empathy as core principles for relationship-building and interactions.

I’m recipient of professional awards such as Honoring Our Nation’s Most Respected Teachers, Outstanding American Teachers National Honor Roll, Marquis Who’s Who in America for possessing professional integrity, demonstrating outstanding achievement in respective field, and for making innumerable contributions to Society as a whole.

Purpose

As a lifelong learner my philosophy is to use my strengths to strengthen others as long as I live. Problem-solving is the method I use. America had the third highest rate of depression in the world (China and India are leaders) and Norway and Finland have the best mental health populations in the world. Solace Place was founded to provide information and service on Wellness Practices through positive psychology, positive reinforcement, mindfulness, affirmations, with daily best practices for living. One in four Americans has a diagnosable mental illness at some point in their lives. Cognitive-Behavior Therapy is one method used to treat toxic thinking patterns. I authored Grateful Reflections Journal in 2021 to provide concrete guided journaling to replace negative habitual thinking with optimal proactive thinking patterns.

Our Mission

I work with America’s Future to build confidence, self-knowledge through brain-friendly strategies, critical thinking, and creativity so each learner believes in his/her ability to achieve life’s goals and maximize his/her God-given potential.

To use concepts of Flow, Pleasure, Vitality, and Savoring to promote positive emotions such as optimism, courage, healthy families, and healthy work environments.

Our Vision

My life’s work is to one day see and hear all young adults across America live active empowering proactive lives.

“They shall still bring forth fruit in old age: they shall be fat and flourishing.”
